"Why are you so trembly?" the child asked.
"Because God made me that way," I replied.
My unsteady hands and feet are a genetic weakness, but also an aftereffect of a traumatic injury. We're all post-trauma in one way or another, moving forward with fear and trembling, holding to what we know to be true. Most of us hold that on the inside, but with me, you can see it too.
